We have put a lot of work into our inquiry over the last few weeks of the term. We worked in groups to answer our key question, how does our garden grow?
We then presented our hard work to the rest of the Middle School.

Garden Update
On the last day of school we visited our garden. Here is what we had to say....
Lav- Wow our potatoes have grown heaps.
Matt H- There are a lot of potatoes. I picked two of them. I had to dig deep.
Briana- There are tiny broccoli growing.
Craig- We pulled out 7 potatoes altogether.
Harrison- It is good to see that the broccoli is starting to grow.
Amy- I will come up to school in the holidays to see what else has been growing.

Our Scarecrow
During our visits to the garden we had noticed that some of our plants have been eaten by birds. We realised that we would somehow have to protect our garden from them. The children suggested that we build a scarecrow to watch over our special garden.
Firstly we designed our scarecrow and brainstormed what materials we would need to build it. With the help of everyone it didn't take long to build our scarecrow. Isn't he handsome! Now all he needs is a name....
